Customer Service Associate

Position Summary:

The Customer Service Associate supports business operations by managing customer communication and order entry. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Customer Service Associate maintains customer relationships in line with Hodgdon’s mission, vision and values. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service via telephone and email, ensuring customer satisfaction 
  • Process sales orders for distributors, buy groups, retailers and original equipment manufacturers 
  • Manage promotional products and materials for use in industry events and trade publications 
  • Track inventory and product distribution 
  • Handle freight charges and claims 
  • Escalate product issues and questions to technical staff 
  • Organize and maintain customer database and files 
  • Prepare and analyze reports to support sales and marketing staff 
  • Assist with social media and marketing campaigns 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
  • 2-3 years of customer service experience 
  • Proficient in Excel

Director of Business Development

Position Summary:

The Director of Business Development reports to the Vice President of Research & Development. With an entrepreneurial mindset, this individual will develop new revenue streams focused on leveraging Hodgdon’s energetics capabilities outside of the shooting sports market.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field
  • MBA a plus
  • 7+ years of increased responsibility and demonstrated success in the energetics, explosives or related industry
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Previous Sales/Business Development experience preferred
